Woodlands Enterprise

Here at The Woodlands School we deliver an enriching Enterprise Programme which runs under the name 'Woodlands Enterprise'.

Our young people have the opportunity to be part of our brand in a variety of roles which allows access for all young people within our sixth form department. Some of the job roles the young people get to enjoy are research, planning, designing, production, sales assistant and accounting.

It is vital that all young people are given the chance for their ability to be nurtured throughout their time at The Walnuts School. By nurturing the young people and allowing them to develop their entrepreneurial skills not only do the students develop and grow, it also gives them vital employability skills for their future ahead.

Our current project is made completely from scrap materials. This is our contribution to making a quality product whilst helping to keep products out of landfill. The round wooden disc is from Marshalls factory - it is a circle which they remove from their speaker frames. All paint is either purchased from the scrap store MK or donated by the Scrap store MK. Our vinyl is donated as scrap from MK Vinyl or from the Scrap store MK.

Our students have loved designing so many positive quotes to place on the plaques and we look forward to sharing walnuts positivity with everyone who purchases one!

All monies raised from the sales of our plaques goes straight back into the young people developing our Enterprise department and of course a fun reward trip at the end of the year.
